When you spend 9 hours of graveyard work, five days a week, then you take into serious consideration the quality of your work space. Sadly, there are call centers who only consider the comfort of their agents as just an afterthought.
Here are the top 3 things, in my opinion, that call center agents would love to see incorporated in their cubicles or work stations:
1. More space
Who wants to work in a super cramped cubicle? Of course none. There should be enough leg space to stretch our tired legs as well as more room so that we will not bumped into the person next to us whenever we stretch an arm.
2. Comfortable seat
It will always be a great blessing when you are sitting in a high quality and comfy office chair. Otherwise you will find yourself squiggling around your seat trying to find that optimum sitting position. When your work requires you to be seated most of the time, a good chair should be a priority.
3. The permission to display personal stuff on your work table
Some call center companies, especially with those accounts whose agents share their computers with another shift’s, do not allow much personal belongings to be left and displayed on the work table. It is always a nice thing to have a picture frame of your loved ones displayed in front of you. This is a great stress buster as well as it gives your work space that extra home feeling to it.
