Nothing really beats having your own car to commute to the office. While I’m not yet that good at driving (I still get scared going out to the main road), my boyfriend does the driving for us. We have already bought a car together a couple of months ago in preparation to our upcoming wedding. Anyway, he has been driving me to the office very early in the morning… and I love him for doing that great favor for me.
He comes home late at night and then he would go straight to bed. He would wake up early, prepare the car, then fetch me. In return I usually treat him with breakfast, usually at Tropical Hut which is near my office. The only thing is I have to commute on my way home because he has to go to the office and he has no time to fetch me. But still just giving me a lift in the morning is already a great thing.
With regards to our gas consumption, he said that even if we are spending a bit more on the gas we should not really mind it. The price that we pay for the gas compensates for the comfort that I get every morning. The fact that I don’t have to wait in line just to board a tricycle, a jeep and an FX already means so much to me.
