Imagine a day when you have to go up one floor every time you have to take a leak or wash your hands. That is a scenario that will definitely disappoint call center agents.
That is why if you work in a call center, it is a must that you read the company wide announcements, as soon as you get in to start the day and minutes before you end your shift. These company announcements are automatically sent to your inbox as soon as an important event happens or about to happen.
Think about promotion, scheduled fire and or earthquake drills, available incentives and freebies, even bath faucet repairs should be announced because this will greatly affect the operation of the entire call center. This will cause other employees to complain for such a hassle that this will bring, if this is implemented right away without the proper advisory.
