How to Show Some Love for New Moms in the Team

by Call Center Gal on July 18, 2009

Here’s a quick tip if you are a supervisor or a manager and are finding ways to simply extend your care to your female married subordinates. Why not try to do some birth announcements as soon as they gave birth?

This will let them know how much you remember them even when they are on leave to take care of their new role as mother. Of course, this is aside from the organized baby showers that the team previously planned for them.

This will not definitely break the team fund because all you have to do is to find some simple yet affordable cute birth announcement designs online. You can even make this a team activity by asking your team members to help you take some pictures of the baby, couple it with some personalized messages and there you go, you just made the new mom feel really loved.

Now expect that the new mom will appreciate the team’s lovely gesture and will definitely be more eager to go back to work, knowing that you really showed some concern and regarded her as part of a caring team.

I’m glad I read this. I rarely reply to peoples comments…not because I don’t like them…but because I thought it was self-serving.

That is a great idea, and like you said it does not have to cost a small fortune to do it.

This is a good idea not only for a mother but for a father too. I remember my whole department gave me a personalized congratulations card and our company also gave a set of baby bottles when my eldest son was born.
