On June 7, 2009 a lot of people from all walks of life will gather and literally walk to end hunger.
This is to support End Hunger, Walk the World 2009 Activity to be participated by 80 countries. In the Philippines, participants should go to Rajah Sulayman, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. This ‘walking’ event will start from 6AM and will end at 10AM.
What’s in it for Call Centers?
Call centers can pool out a lot of participants by having it as a corporate activity. Imagine how much donations will be added to the fund if all call centers will participate in this event. This can also be a good way to show their Corporate Social Responsibility which a lot of multinational companies are doing nowadays.
What’s in it for Call Centers Agents?
This can be a great way to help other people by participating. If a lot of call center agents can shell out 150 php to buy a starbuck’s coffee then the same amount can also feed a child for ten days. This means, a missed coffee drink can benefit hungry kids, that’s a sweet sacrifice right?
So give your legs a little stretch and give it a shot. Walk your way to lose some pre-loved pounds and show the world what call center employees can do to help hunger.
