I am more for comfort over style. That has become my call whenever I choose clothes and shoes that I am going to wear when I go to work. That’s also the same thing I apply whenever I am going out with my friends.
With that said, I am very careful with where to go and what to choose to wear. For my clothes, I go with some casual yet conservative style. I usually shy away from showing too much skin because I do not want my trainees to focus on those parts and distract their attention while learning.
As for the shoes, I go mostly for flats because of my concerns in standing and moving around the call center office doing call center training. There are also some instances when I check some good finds online and see the different designs before I head over to the mall and buy it. Just like Dansko who displayed a lot of interesting designs of sandals on their website. Looking at those designs is like looking at all your possible feet friend, waiting for you to have them as a walking company while you are working.

Yes, flats do seem like more comfortable than most office shoes. I’m a guy but it pains me to see girls walking around in high heels when I could see that they are not very comfortable in them.
But if you ask me, rubber shoes are the best. If only management would allow them.
At the work place, I go “comfy” (clothes and shoes) most times because I have to keep track of my five year old students the whole day (hehe) But when I go out with friends, I allow some freedom of expression and wear something not so teacher-like, nothing revealing just something that shows a little of my personality.
Comfy shoes are a must. I use to wear heels when I worked (when I was younger) now they hurt my feet too much. Flats for me now.
I go for flats, too. I tried wearing heels before during a client visit and my feet were screaming at the end of the day.
