Cebu should be thankful because another BPO is going to be a part of their growing roster of call centers.
I just read the news today about 724 Care BPO Services. They are going to invest in Cebu Philippines who is also known to house other BPOs and call centers like Sykes, Aegis BPO among others.
Here are some more details that I got from TMCnet:
According to the company, the reason for their overall expansion and success are its call center agents who are trained exclusively to provide exceptional customer service to both clients and their customers. Agents are trained to provide a range of inbound services including appointment setting, market surveys, customer retention, client acquisition, mail follow-up and receivables management.
Again, this is a development that we should embrace on. A question though. Will this mean that call center agents will jump ship again?
You can easily do so. But I would like to share a word of caution. Just research some more on your target BPO / call center before you leave and transfer. In my opinion, having a lot of employers in a short span of time won’t look good in your resume.

I’ve been to Cebu once and got to visit their technopark where most call centers and BPOs are housed. I liked it there. Very clean and very modern.
