Hot Unwanted Items in the Office

by admin on May 7, 2009

Can you remember some company policies that affects security in general?

Be it in a call center or not, there are some policies in place to ensure safety within the company premises. Aside from that, these policies also keep the best interest of the clients investing their money in the company.

Just like wearing the company ID, having to log using either biometrics or other configured systems to note the attendance of the employee. There are some policies like in call centers who would prohibit employees from bringing mobile phones, digital cameras and sd flash memory items that are capable of storing information.

Some might dare to sneak in those items but I believe that’s where integrity is in question. I mean, why wait for someone to apprehend you if you can just leave it at home or deposit these items before you get in a certain area in the company right? That means less worries and hassle on your end.

Do you know someone who sneaked in items like these in the workplace? Or are you allowed to bring those inside the office premises?

No cameras or flash drives, but cell phones yes. Even though it is something you can be fired for, they do it anyway.

Our office is pretty cool and there’s no prohibited items. Except for those drinks spilling all over the keyboard. =)

Our company “tolerates” it.

I haven’t actually worked anyplace where these types of items were not allowed. I always have my phone with me. I am not sure I would be able to live without it.

I have never even thought about that. I guess the company I work for just trust us considering we are at home and they do not have control of our environment.
