Hey nice blog and nice theme for the blog too. When I read of static in your post, I couldn't stop myself from laughing because quite a few times a handshake mostly with my bosses is when the worst static hit happens. I would not want a cure though for that because I sure get hit but my boss too gets a hit.
Your blog is good in the content because it is more of call center experiences as compared to mine which is about building a career in a BPO. Good to find like-careered people.

Here's another way to prevent it. Always have a coin handy. I always have a 25 centavo coin in my pocket every time. Touch the coin before you touch something else. even the slightest touch will do. It eliminates static. Hope this helps. :D

It's the carpet alright. I also work on a carpeted office and my colleagues have been complaining about frequent static shocks when on the floor. I rarely experience these shocks but i guess, some people are more sensitive to shocks than others. I was told that if you are wearing shoes with leather soles you are less likely to have static shocks.

A lot of times when my husband comes home from work and I kiss him hello we end up getting shocked on the lips. That really hurts. Maybe I need to spray the carpet here.
