Call Center's Hotel Like Facilities

by admin on April 22, 2009

I received an email yesterday from a former colleague way back in 2003. She asked me for some pointers on how to handle a panel interview which is slated for next week. I just knew that she is applying in another call center after almost six years of being in the same company. Did I say that she got a loyalty award because of her stay in the company? :)

Anyway, I told her about my blog and gave her some links on the posts that can help her pass the panel interview composed of a Senior Recruiter, Product Trainer and Operations Supervisor. I also thanked her for giving me an idea of the next blog post that I should write later this week.

When I asked her about her general impression of the company, she focused on the aesthetic aspect of it. She told me that this call center almost got hotel like facilities like a very elegant lobby and receiving area. Aside from that, she also noticed how elegant their break and rest rooms were. So much that she identified lovely Delta faucets similar to what we saw in a five star hotel that we occupied before when we were assigned to visit another call center in the South. Of course that shows how they invest so much in the company, not only in sourcing and training their people, but also by letting them relax in an call center office with a hotel like atmosphere. :)

Very nice for a call center or any place of employment. I work from home doing call center work so I guess you could say my break room is cozy and very much like home. Lol!

I’ve been to a couple of call centers and almost all of them are investing in their facilities which is a good thing for the employees. But I think they should invest more in giving more benefits and bigger compensation to their workers.
