10 Tips to Enjoy your Call Center Year End Party

by admin on December 31, 2008

I know that up to this time, a lot of call centers are still celebrating their Post Christmas / Year End party. So let me share some tips so you can make the most out of your holiday party.

1.) Register to confirm your attendance.

Whether you’ll attend or not make sure to let the registration committee know about it.

2.) Ask for options if you’ll change your mind.

Will you need to pay as a walk-in attendee? If that is one of the consequence then it’s better to know it ahead of time.

3.) Get your ticket and keep it until you hand it over to the registration committee (on the venue itself).

Most of the call center parties have raffle activities in between performances. Make sure to keep the portion of the ticket to present if you win in the raffle.

4.) Bring your IDs for proper identification.

It’s better not to take too much time waiting for a supervisor or a team mate to vouch for you. Make sure to bring your company ID or any government issued ID.

5.) Check out the theme.

You don’t want to wear a gown if you’re going to an open field party right? Nuff said. :)

6.) Inquire about the ‘ride’.

It will be both convenient and safe for you if your company will have their own service vehicle. If not, then you can join one or two of your colleagues as you go to the venue and/or to the office. You can also split the fare and talk about the fun party afterwards.

7.) Say no to allergic reaction.

Allergic to smoke, liquor and some food? Bring that pill inside your pouch if you need to pop one.

8.) If you’re going to take calls after the party, don’t drink alcohol.

Yes. A simple rule that’s violated by some. Don’t think that you can easily get away with that violation. Better be safe than sorry.

9.) Enjoy the party while it lasts.

Eat, dance and laugh if you want to. Just make sure that if its a company sponsored event, you still need to adhere to the rules of conduct. I believe this is self-explanatory.

10.) Add one to this list.

I know that I only covered some, I wanted to know some tips that I missed so other readers can also benefit from your tips. :)

kuya nhil may tanong lang ako.. this is offtopic.. “bakit yung mga nagiinterview sa callcenter. They are so intimidated with the nursing graduate?” this is what my friend told me.. and actually the experience of my katropa.. ang sabi ba naman daw.. “I think callcenter is not the right place for you.. because you have so much future as a nurse..” just a question..

HAPPY NEW YEAR kuya nhil.. :)

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your comment. :)

Re: intimidated with Nursing grads

The interviewers just want to check the real motive of the applicant, if it fits with the company’s standards. In a way, if that’s the statement of the interviewer, he just want your friend to really think about applying in a call center. In the end kasi kapag hindi matched ang motivations ng applicant and employer, malamang na maging source pa ito ng attrition sa company. :)

Just my two cents. Of course marami pang pwedeng maging reason for saying that statement. I hope I shed light on your question. :)

By the way, I’m a gal. Ate Nhil na lang if you want. :) Feel free to read and comment on some more posts here. Take care. :)

So meaning mas alam pa ng isang HS grad ang essence of serving client online? Ang pinupunto kasi d2 kung di man pareho sila ng philosophy, bakit hinde nila ienlightened yun sa mga nurses, at kailangan pa nila sabihin sa ganung way.. na kesyo mas may future ka as a nurse kesa d2? e diba intimidated yung ganung approach? parang ayaw nya.. Naku ate nhil, this is a debate hahaha.. but I don’t intend to debate.. this is sharing of opinions lang.. :)

Always be careful at parties. Don’t drink TOO much! Always carry a personal safety product with you – just in case you get that unwanted advance!
