When you finally do throw out your PC, make sure you recycle it properly. A lot of services that "recycle" old computer waste really just sell it overseas where they pay people a couple bucks a day to take them apart, melt out the metals, etc. The conditions are bad and unhealthy.

aww.. you moved from a PC to a laptop, that's a progress I say.
meanwhile, I'm still using my 2 laptops. one is the obsolete model (PII, 128MB) which would took the whole coffe break duration just to boot-up; while the other is a new DualCore-powered Lenovo I bought since I need to work faster :D

just like you, I also have less and less reason to work with the old-one, but it always provide me some support in a crutial time.. so I decided to keep it

nichives last blog post..Keep Track for Interaction

I suggest using a program called TuneUp Utilities and running their utilities. The most common problem with windows slowing down is usually registry issues. In our experience, using that program for weekly maintanence has proven priceless.

Your computer may also be getting bogged down with spyware. There are a few free spyware programs out there including Spybot S&D and Anti Malware. Both are free and both are very effective.
