Our Lounge Room Got A Facelift

by admin on November 23, 2008

Our previous call center office has this very nice lounge room where we can stay, sit on one of the couches or chairs and watch cable TV or read a book. Some of my officemates would just sit in one corner and take a nap. I usually go there to read a book that I borrowed from our office’s library.

Yes, we do have a library. It’s not a big one. Just a small room with some call center, training, human resources, marketing and other such related books. You won’t find any Harry Potter or Danielle Steel or any big name fiction authors’ books there.

Anyway, so the lounge room recently had a minor addition. Minor because it’s just one piece of item, but the result was amazing. The office administrator had installed one of those very lovely, elegant looking Area Rugs. It has a distinctly intricate, European style pattern. I’m no expert so I can’t really pinpoint what the exact design is. So I tried looking for an exact image of it but this one comes quite close:

I knew that Rugs can greatly improve the look and feel of any room and depending on the design, you can create any ambience with them. Just take a look at any hotel lounge and chances are there is a big rug right in the middle of it. Or you can go take a look at any of the five star rooms. No grand hotel room is without an elegant rug. I heard some of the guys talking that it’s probably one of those Cheap Rugs, but from the looks of it, I doubt it.

I came across this website called SuperiorRugs.com who sells these amazing and beautifully patterned rugs. I got the above picture from their website. I’m not really into rugs, I just know how to appreciate it whenever I see something that’s pretty.
