While still nothing is definite, it gives great hope to our fellow call center professionals in the province of La Union to know that a big and established call center company is planning to set up operations there.
Sitel is eyeing to open a provincial operations especially in the Poro Point Free-port Zone in La Union.
They are looking at the feasibility of creating an intial 600-seat call center facility. That’s a huge number especially for a provincial call center operations.
Poro Point Free-port Zone is is well-equipped with telecommunications equipment and facilities for IT services.

I was a qualified applicant of your prestigious company when you had your 2-day screening at Poro point sometime in March of this year. But unfortunately, an emergency came up so I have to drop the job for important reasons. If in case that SITEL would finally operate in Poro-Point, San Fernando City, La Union. I would still be willing to undergo the same procedures in applying. Everyone is a waiting for the opening of Sitel. A lot of us job seekers in call centers wouldn’t like to go far because a lot of us are family oriented too. So with the opening of Sitel here in LA UNION will benefit us locals. And it won’t bear us being far from our families. We just hope Sitel will be here by 2009. And for sure a lot will be glad to work for Sitel…. See you guys soon here in LA UNION.
