If you are planning to apply as a call center agent but are having second thoughts because you were not able to finish college and therefore has no degree to show, rest assured that it is not always a requirement.
Of course it would help to get better chances in nailing the call center job that you want.
You know what, I know of someone who is currently working in a big call center in Makati. He wasn’t able to finish his studies and he was able to land the call center stint without showing any diplomas. At first he thought it was perfectly fine, but the thing is he had been shortlisted for a possible promotion.
His problem started when he was denied the promotion solely for the reason that he is not a college graduate. This after he had been consistently on the top of every work evaluations.
Now, since he wants to get that promotion, he is now planning on continuing his studies.

I will let you in a secret. I marched the graduation but never had my Hischool diploma for some reason, I took up Practical Bookkeeping & Accounts through Penn Foster, which is not recognized by DEPED and it’s only one year. I was hired by some of the top call centers here in the Phillipines, however, as you have mentioned, problem arose when they started appraising us, and when I knew that they would ask for my full credentials -I was qualified to be a trainor as far as experience and stats were concerned, I immediately resigned for fear of being rejected by the company…yes education is really important, however, since I have a different plan in mind, I guess, I will have studying at bay for the meantime.
