Question of vnolasco via email:
“What is your impression of the applicant who fails to show up on his interview schedule?”
I hope this post will serve as a reminder for the rest of call center applicants. If you’re scheduled to meet your interviewer, make sure to show up or at least be courteous enough to inform your interviewer if you can’t make it.
It is always wise to ask for the name of your last interviewer and note their contact details because you’ll never know when you’ll need it.
Of course they will be considerate about it, that is, if you have legitimate reasons for not showing up. Again, just make sure to observe common interview courtesy. That simple act will reflect how much you value each other’s time. Not doing so will tell them otherwise.
In the end, making your interviewer wait endlessly will lessen your chances to ink the offer, whether in a call center or in any other industry.
If you have questions about call center matters, you can send an email to: callcentergal@yahoo.com and I’ll be more than happy to answer your questions here on Call Center Gal blog. yup, that’s courtesy. tutal naman ngayon, dami ng ways to contact a person, even a short text message would do kung talagang kapos na sa load. letting the person know you would be late or wont arrive at all is respect not only to the other person but also to ourselves.
