Let’s say you want to seek the ‘greener pasture’ and you want to move on in your present career. So after you updated your resume and compiled all the necessary paper work, you started to let the word out. You submitted your resume online, and then waited for their call for the initial interview and the rest of initial screening process. Then wait again for a couple of more days until another employer calls in and assess your application. That’s the typical scenario in job hunting. But you don’t have to do that every time you’re on the job hunt stage, especially if your current position falls from middle management position up to the ranks of the executive. Take it from Dennis C Carey in businessweek . He is a client partner for Korn/Ferry International that does executive search. He believes in managing your competencies and talent to best match your potential employer’s needs. Think about hiring a consultant that does everything to market your expertise. That’s another way of telling everyone how you value your achievements, which is very important in the course of your job search, whether in a call center or in another industry.

aw, that would cost something, am sure. or are there also consultants who work for free, hmm
I guess before going out on the paid route of a consultant, the prospective job seeker really needs to make an honest assessment of his/her strengths, talents and interests on their own.
Especially as you climb up the ladder of success you will notice that it becomes more and more important that you as the job seeker can articulate this and demonstrate to the organization how they will benefit from you.
