hey everyone,
has anyone heard of TELETECH putting up its site in LEYTE?
I heard it’s gonna be on February for the hiring process??? anyone???
olryt guys, here’s the real deal bout the APAC hiring, my mom has a friend who works with the government & she knows why, where & when will this call center (APAC) start its operations.
first off, the government isn’t sure enough where to put up its site, why? that is because of the conflict going on between our governor and our mayor. the agreement was, if the city would be transformed into a highly urbanized city, then the mayor gets to decide where to put up its site. and that the governor’s decision to have it constructed on the LAC (leyte academic center) will be waived off.
So now, since the majority voted for YES, perhaps APAC will be situated on the underconstruction Robinsons Mall..that is the Mayor’s pick. The mall is said to open early this year, probably on April, corresponding the Palarong Pambansa. So dont fret guys, APAC is hiring 700 qualified applicants, as well as TELETeCH which is also opening its doors on the Robinsons mall here in Tacloban. ciao!
Hi Jean Grey,
Thanks for the update.
Call Center Gal
welcome.. nwei, LAC is now ICT park. refer to admin/call center gal’s infos above.. =)
(mhel) I’m just saying be careful. People might take what you said differently from how you meant it. But I get what you’re laying out. Of course me, being Waray, the flag must be raised, the cry must be made. Lol. Atut.
(everyone) WHAT?! The APAC site hasn’t been settled yet?! Well, if it is true that it will be at Robinson’s mall, then that’s definitely nicer. It’ll be a lot closer to town, but then again that would mean, operations will have to wait until the building is erected. Would that mean come Jan 5, agents will be told they’ll have to wait a few more months before operations? AYAYAY!
guys wag masyado hot. Apac will b der by feb ‘09. It’ll still be at the former gymnasium..Dnt knw where u get d info bout the robinson site. Trainers will be leaving for U.S 1st wk of jan to learn the accounts, once they get back 1st batch will come in. Alot of preparations needs to be done since the accnts that will be there are the HARDEST CLIENTS OF APAC! Though im thinking twice of transferring at ur site for a change of environment..Msyado n kc PANGET management dito sa cubao bka sakali maiba dyan..But still i’d say NO THANKS! I dnt wana handle the same sh*t. It’s all urs guys! Goodluck!
1. how much is the pay?
2. is this call center doesn’t entail too much pressure on its employees?
3. what incentives do they offer?
… now i am really confused! when will this APAC start its operations? some say it has already started, some say it has to wait until Robinson’s mall will be erected.
APAC has already started training the pioneer batch since January 16, 2009. The actual contact operations will begin on March 2. The site is located at the Leyte ICT Park in Palo, Leyte. It’s beside the BIR Regional office in the Government Center and within the compound of Leyte Academic Center. The hiring for CSRs has been temporarily closed but they are currently hiring nursing graduates who will be in their pharmaceutical and medical acounts.
——-
Are you from APAC Leyte?
Thanks for the update Tim.
Ehem.. The starting salary is 8k, not bad for a Leyteño. Anyways, Batch 4 or 5 for wave training will start on June 29, 2009. Goodluck to all of you! A lot of applicants were mostly hired. Some, were not lucky enough because of the native intonation, some aren’t that good per se. TO some, they are hired for training but eliminated during the wave 1 training. That’s it for the mean time.
————
Hi Shen,
Thanks for giving this update.
About the intonation, they can just brush up on some Accent lessons to get a neutral one and apply again.
it seems im very late in this news,
can i pass resume online? like any other call center does?
plz, somebody reply me……..?
———–
Hi Jezza,
You’ll definitely get help from some Leytenos here. You can also check out Jobstreet.com to get updates on the posts that you want to apply for.
You got another friend here, calling other APAC Leyte call center friends.
With my experience, I apply APAC on a job fair. Eventually, they try calling me for 2 consecutive days, I know there were calls but I have to ignore it because my phone had been thrown many times and it is physically deaf, but I do hear them. lols
I have many friends whom are in APAC, i know their story up to salary. They have a good environment and people are so accommodating however, I wanted to try my luck in CEBU, to some other call center not APAC just for experience and it will enable me for abroad. My friends whom are their are of Batch 1 and 2 respectively. For wave one of batch 1, there are 70 whom were accepted but 10 of that 70 were eliminated during the training. APAC wanted an agent by hook and by crooked means to answer all the queries, you have to be patient a thousand times with rude callers, you need not to get help for buzzer because that would only mean for elimination.
TO jezza, you can apply online thru jobstreet.com just search on the location and click on eastern visayas.
goodluck everyone.
i am so, into this site!
ciao!
To Those who replied in me…tnx, now i had pass already my resume..
shen: thank you friend……..?
…I applied with APAC as CSR 11:00am got hired 7:00pm on the same day…1 day recruitment processing lang ang APAC, good job! I’am overwhelmed to be part of APAC’s Team. Hoping to start my training soonest…Be part of APAC and let’s make it grow here in Leyte…
Worry not about the salary and perks…sometime soon when APAC gets smooth in its operation, hopefully, the pay and other benefits will get better and competitive (though it’s in Region 8, it follows the regional wage rate)…these, i just wishfully pray and hope for.

Im one of the passers in the job fair held at Ormoc City Superdome with the HR interview last April 16-17, 2009. The applicants from Ormoc are waiting for the call for the final interview. Until now, they havn’t call us. We keep on waiting for the call but until this end of May 2009, no one is called. My friends already seek other job and they get hired loosing their hope for the call from APAC. BUT IM NOT LOOSING MY HOPE, I’LL KEEP ON WAITING.
@DEN:
I’ve already explained what I meant. I didn’t mean to say that people from Leyte are not as qualified as Cebuanos. I’m a pure Manileña, for god’s sake so I’m not really siding on Cebu. I guess the words came out wrong… or were typed wrong. LOLz.
Anyway, one of my closest friends transferred to APAC Leyte – Lindon. Some of you might know him. From what I’ve heard, the account that I handled in APAC Cubao (as a Senior Team Lead) was transferred to Leyte. If that’s true, then, yes, the clients are VERY demanding. But, they loved me. Hehehe.
I’m looking forward to visiting APAC Tacloban so I can visit my friends who moved there. It’s just a 2 hour boat ride from Cebu, right?
