40 Behavioral Questions Your Interviewer Might Ask

by admin on June 13, 2008

Hi everyone!

On my first few posts, I shared The Top 10 Interview Questions and how one should understand it based on interviewers’ expectations. After I got a few comments about it, I realized that I should share more tips on how to ace (call center) job interviews.

Okay, let’s say you were in an interview and you answered the first few questions correctly. Congratulations!

But just when you thought that you’ll be off to the next stage, your interviewer said,

“Tell me about a situation when you built rapport quickly with someone under difficult conditions.”

Then as you think about the answer you begin to stare on the ceiling, on the wall, on the floor…all these things while your interviewer is patiently waiting for your answer.

Quite embarrassing isn’t it?

So today, I will share with you this list of behavioral questions (for both first timers and experienced applicants) to serve as a reference and help you prepare for your next job interview. Read on.

Describe…

1.) a major change that occurred in a job that you held. How did you adapt to this change?

2.) a project or idea that was implemented primarily because of your efforts. What was your role? What was the outcome?

the hardest question for me is: “Tell me something about yourself.”

LOL!!!

This is a really comprehensive list of behavioral questions. I have a guide to answering call center behavioral interview questions on my website which may help you with preparing responses to these sort of questions.
The Call Center Interview Guide.
For Mj above here are some tips for answering that tough question:
The interviewer is trying to find out if you will fit in with the rest of the team and the company. This interview question also explores what motivates you and whether it is consistent with the position and company. Avoid just repeating what you have written on your resume. What makes you uniquely qualified to do this job? Try to describe yourself objectively focusing on your key skills and abilities that will be of benefit in this job. Describe your character as it relates to the inherent job requirements. Sample answers for this question are also given on my free website.
