Generally, you should tell your new employer about your situation. This is a case to test your character. Remember that integrity is a very important factor in considering hiring applicants. They will eventually find it out anyway and so it is better not to put your integrity in question.
The truth is, there are labor laws that protect the best interest of pregnant applicants. Though most call centers will not consider hiring you given the situation, there are some that will still welcome your application. Of course, they will still need to secure your fit-to-work certificate before you progress with your new hire orientation. After that they will see to it that you will be assigned in an account that will have a morning shift so you can still watch out for you and your baby’s health.
An assurance that you can still hit your metrics even when your pregnant will also make a difference. Your new employer also wanted to hear that being pregnant will not cause you to slack and ‘under’ perform. Use your situation instead to be more inspired and driven since you are now preparing for your baby’s future.
Goodluck!

hmm, being pregnant should not be a cause to worry about loosing one’s job. pero i guess, in some parts of the world and some particular jobs, medyo tagilid talaga yung iba, which should not be. being pregnant should be a happy time but i cant blame those who worry coz of financial reasons. hay buhay…
Thats true. Much stressful for expecting mothers who also worry on how to make ends meet now that they have another member in the family.
right! you should never hide your situation because when they found out sooner, more trouble may arise.
specially that you’re in the call center industry, it’s better to risk your being employed that risk your and your baby’s health
Very well said Kotsengkuba! =)
Thanks for dropping by. I already included you in my blogroll. =)
hmmmmmm being pregnant is really nothing to worry about… much more if you have your maternity leave…hehehe
maiintindihan ko kung ayaw mag-hire ang isang call center ng buntis especially if they need her services right away.
although pwede naman nilang hintaying manganak muna yung girl then hire her later.
i think there wouldn’t be any problem, but most of the companies when they come to know about this things they’d rather not hire you.
when i started with my new company i didn’t know nor expected that i would get pregnant just after a few months…
2nd week of January 2008, i found that i am carrying my first child…i hurriedly informed my immediate supervisor about it since that time they are still processing my employment visa…
should i consider myself lucky coz they continued to process my visa and residency.
3more months my tummy will burst out, my immediate keep on telling me deliver on time – coz my colleage is on her one month pinas vacation…
